Leadership

Dr. Dion Clark

Dr. Dion Clark

Dr. Dion serves as the Senior Pastor/Teacher. She received Christ as a young child and was baptized. In 2009 she answered the call to ministry and preached her initial sermon in 2011. Dion has served in leadership roles in numerous churches, nonprofits and government agencies. She also teaches various graduate courses. Dr. Dion’s passion is helping people become excited about the word of God and seeing it change lives.

Brother Ben Clark

Brother Ben Clark

Brother Ben Clark is the husband of Senior Pastor, Dr. Dion Clark. Ben accepted Christ in his youth and was baptized. He is a retired Lt. Col. in the USAF and has served numerous terms in the NC Senate. He is deeply devoted to his local community. Brother Ben’s passion is for children to receive sound education in the early years, especially in the area of reading. He often says, “You learn to read, then you read to learn.”

Deacon Elworth Thompson

Deacon Elworth Thompson

Deacon Elworth Thompson proudly served in the United States Army for 26 years before his retirement, completing tours in Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Yugoslavia, the Bahamas, Panama and St. Maarten.  After his retirement, he worked as a contractor in Kuwait and Afghanistan.  Deacon Thompson was ordained into the Diaconate Ministry of CWC in 2018.

Deacon Rhonda Thompson

Deacon Rhonda Thompson

Deacon Rhonda Thompson joined Hilly Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Lumberton, N.C. in her youth and was baptized.  She retired from the Cumberland County school system after spending the majority of her working years as a counselor at Lumberton Senior High School in Robeson County.  Deacon Thompson was ordained into the Diaconate Ministry of CWC in 2018.

Mission

To be led by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel of Jesus Christ as set forth in Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:19-20, to train all in Biblical truth as set forth in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and to include each one in a community of faith and fellowship as set forth in Acts 2:42-47.

Goal

To provide a place where individuals can receive salvation, learn God’s word and train to share these gifts with others.
